Cancel service without losing your domain.
You should be able to understand your commitment and request cancellation without a sales conversation. This page explains the normal process; your accepted service agreement controls your specific account.
How to request cancellation
With a client account: Sign in to your Client Portal, open Support, choose “Cancellation / handoff,” and submit your request.
Without portal access: Email ContactBearCats@gmail.com with your business name, website address, and the email on your customer account. Do not send passwords or card information.
We will acknowledge the request in writing, confirm the effective end date, and explain any remaining agreed charges or outstanding domain costs. You do not have to accept a retention offer or schedule a phone call to submit a cancellation request.
Email a cancellation requestWhen charges stop
Essential is $20/month with a $99 one-time setup fee; Plus is $50/month without a setup fee. Both begin with a six-month minimum commitment. If you request cancellation during that period, the remaining agreed monthly payments ordinarily remain due, subject to applicable law and the accepted service agreement. After the first six months, either plan renews month-to-month and may be cancelled before the next billing renewal.
Submitting a request does not itself refund already earned charges or erase an initial-term balance. We will confirm the cancellation date and payment status in writing. We will not require a new website-ownership buyout to leave.
What stays yours
Your domain name, original business text, images and branding, and customer-owned records remain yours. BearCat will provide reasonable domain handoff instructions and an export of available customer-owned content and data upon request. You can use your domain with another website provider.
The BearCat-hosted website implementation, reusable templates, source code, and platform remain BearCat property. They are not transferred at cancellation. Keep this distinction in mind when planning a move.
Before your website goes offline
Subject to the accepted agreement and any security or legal restrictions, the site normally stays available through the period already paid for, then is unpublished. Request available content exports and domain-transfer coordination early so you can minimize interruptions. The standard agreement allows requests for available customer-owned data for up to 30 days after the paid service period ends.
For questions about your specific contract, review the Service Agreement and contact the team. Existing signed terms may differ from newer published offers.
